Traditionally the reaction to fire laboratory has been part of the Building Test Centre's fire laboratory. Considerable investment has been made in updating the control, measurement and analysis system of the Single Burning Item - EN 13823:2002.
The SBI is one of a series of tests used in the European Reaction to Fire Classification system - EN 13501-1:2009.
The laboratory features a carbon monoxide and cyanide detector system to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff.
